Problems fall into predictable HTTP classes — distinguish auth issues from affordability versus plain overload.
| Status | Scenario | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 401 | Unauthorized | Missing or invalid API key. Check your Authorization header. |
| 402 | Insufficient Credits | Your RODI balance is too low. Top up in the billing dashboard. |
| 429 | Rate Limited | Too many requests. Back off and retry with exponential delay. |
| 422 | Validation Error | Invalid request body. Check the model name and message format. |
| 500 | Server Error | Internal error. Retry once — if it persists, contact support. |
